THOMAS PORTER  (21),  l949  - 1970.  Died, Feb. 20, l970, in Viet Nam.  Thomas was a Corporal and member of F Troop, l7th Cavalry, of the l96th Infantry Brigade’s ground reconnaissance unit.  Thomas was one of eight men lost in action.  Thomas is buried at the Reinbeck, Iowa cemetery. He graduated from WSR in l967.
