Barbara June Brown, 57, of Bettendorf, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at her home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.

Barbara was born June 30, 1949, in Waverly, Iowa, to Roger and Lila Juel Hall. She was united in marriage to Mike Brown on Dec. 28, 1974, at Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf.

Barbara was a teacher at Bettendorf High School for 34 years in business education. She served as department chair for several years and was a girls' golf and cheerleading coach. She held the multi-occupation coordinator position at Bettendorf High School.

She was involved in numerous professional and local community organizations and was a former president of Iowa Business Educators Association. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, Bettendorf; sons, Nate Brown and daughter-in-law, Sara Struckman, Austin, Texas, and Matt Brown, Phoenix, Ariz.; her mother, Lila Hall, Shell Rock, Iowa; and brother, Steve (wife, Jan) Hall, Bondurant, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Hall.
