RAYDEAN L. HAPPEL (59), l949 – 2008. Died, Sept. 30, 2008, at the Waverly Health Center, following complications of Cardiac Arrhythmia while driving to work. He graduated from WSR in l967. He worked for his father at Happel and Hahlweg Construction and then at Wittenburg Trucking in Readlyn. He married Karla Wiener in Waverly on Oct. 23, l999. For 28 years he worked for the Bremer County Secondary Road Crew. He had four sons, Jeff of Fayette, Jeremy of Denver, twin Matt of Lamont and Mark of Denver, Iowa. He was active in the Waverly Jaycee’s he coached Little League for 17 years and played slow pitch softball. He also liked to golf.
