Comments:

I graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA in 1975. I taught and coached speech/debate/theatre at Sioux City East HS until 1981. I then did one year of graduate work at UNI. I then taught at Dowling HS in West Des Moines from 1982-87 (Speech/Debate). I left teaching for a few years and ended up working for Junior Achievement of Central Iowa. I returned to teaching in the fall of 1993 and worked at Roosevelt HS in DM until 1999. My wife and I then moved to Texas in 1999. I have taught at Highland Park HS, Colleyville Heritage HS, Jasper HS, and Plano West HS, all in the Dallas area. I have had a pretty successful career in speech and debate, having coached two national champions and numerous regional and state champions. I have been named to a few Halls of Fame and served for 16 years on the national board for the National Speech and Debate Association. It has been a good life and a busy one.

School Story:

I remember being a part of a number of different organizations in high school I remember performing a humorous interp for the student body the year I was named an Outstanding Performer in the state. We also participated in the first ever Earth Day activities in 1970.
